We have invented a novel technique for processing Functionally Graded Hydroxyapatite (FGHA) coatings on metallic dental and orthopedic implants, which can be tailored to the bone formation rate of the patient so it can give faster patient relief and longevity of implants.

Another novel feature part of our research is adding antimicrobial components to our coating so the patient could return to a normal lifestyle sooner with the reduced antibiotics intake and less risk of infection and its subsequent complications.
