Short Bio

Dr. Afsaneh Rabiei received her Ph.D. in 1997 at the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology at The University of Tokyo, Japan. She dealt with advanced materials within the area of mechanics and non-destructive evaluation of metal matrix composites. Immediately after receiving her doctoral degree, she worked at Harvard University as a Post Doctoral Researcher until 2000. Before that, she gained overeight8 years of industrial experience in the field of materials science & processing techniques, including casting, welding, and non-destructive testing. She received her BS in 1986 from the Department of Metallurgy & Material Science at the Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. Additionally, she is fluent in English, Japanese, and Persian.
